Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who began her career with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded into Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via the trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training She delved into hip-hop as a teen. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. She even spent some time learning Mandarin at the University of Beijing. Her focus shifted to music only after she completed her degree. After gaining viral fame through the Internet and her own song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits, such as body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$1. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. The resume of her included musicians and an author. Now she was looking for a new career path in acting. In addition to early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
