Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She started her career as an actress in theatre before going on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, both mainstream and independent films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also won a lot of accolades. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her role as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
