Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on the 26th of May 1978 at Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009), and A Indomada (1997) are the most well-known films. Ana Paula Oliveira joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in March 2020. She currently works as an analyst overseeing the Assassination Witness project and an integral member of the GI-TOC's multilateral engagement team. Her research focuses on the illicit trade, assassinations and disappearances. Interests in research include the impacts of organized crime on policy, law and law relating to human rights. Ana Paula has an LL.M. with a laude cum (with the highest distinction) with honors International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She also holds an LL.M. with a concentration in Public Law, as well as an MBA in international relations from Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Ana Paula holds a Bachelor degree in magna cum laude Legal as well as Social Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. After a four-year time at an international law firm, she has been certified as a lawyer. She also has held various assisting position at both non-government organizations in Rio de Janeiro, and Geneva.
